Thank you so much, what a great compliment to wake up to! I'm happy that you stumbled your way over here as well
Kyle, I love the fact that you are willing to challenge yourself in different arena's of art; fantasy, horror, traditional, portraits etc. and I can tell the long arduous hours you put into your work and passion. I look forward to seeing what you next produce and I enjoy how you let the viewer interpret some of your work, that might challenge their own imagination or revive some deep experience that they've had and see in your work.
Please don't ever stop doing what you love doing, and don't listen to anyone that tells you otherwise!!! Thanks Beverly! If there's one thing in common with all my work it's that there is nothing in common with any of my work. Sometimes I think it's the reason I don't get much attention on DA. When people look to an artist for entertainment there's usually something common amongst all the pieces in their portfolio whether it be a style or subject matter. My work tends to be scattered and sometimes random. But I wouldn't have it any other way actually. I like to experiment, and I rarely stick with the same subject for too long.
I will never stop, you can count on that! Yes I hear what you're saying Kyle about recognition of an artist style or subject matter...but it can also get boring unless the artist changes it up. When I get your artwork in my messages stack, I know instantly that it is your artwork and I get an excitement because it has an emotive element to it, sometimes a dark humor to it, and it always gets me engaged in thought about why I like the piece or what it says to me. Okay, so let's be honest for a second...your work isn't going to tickle everyone's fancy...NOR does mine lol...but that is okay, that is what art is all about! We keep doing it, because it is what we love to do, and if we get a few people like it, then so be it
so, you abandoned classic portraits for gruesome horror?
